What the club collects, why, and how to have it removed.

Last updated September 20, 2026

The short version

Bay County Disc Golf Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3). Nobody here is in the data business. The club collects what it needs to run leagues and answer messages, keeps it on services the board pays for or gets free, and sells none of it to anyone, ever.

There are no advertising trackers on this site, no third-party marketing pixels, and no cookies at all unless you sign in.

What the club collects

  • When you send the contact form: your name, email address, subject and message. It is stored so the board can find it again, and emailed to the club address.
  • When you have a supporter account: your email address and password (the password is held by our authentication provider, hashed — the club never sees it), plus the roster details you give us: name, and optionally phone number, PDGA number and Discord handle.
  • Your scores: round-by-round scores from sanctioned club events, taken from the PDGA's public results, along with the PDGA rating it publishes for you. This is the same information anyone can read on pdga.com.
  • Aggregate traffic figures: page views and rough visitor counts, with no cookie and no cross-site identifier. The club can see that a page was popular. It cannot see who you are.

The club does not collect payment details on this site, and does not ask for anything it has no use for.

Cookies

If you never sign in, this site sets no cookies. If you do sign in, our authentication provider sets a small number of cookies that keep you signed in and nothing else. They are strictly necessary — the portal cannot work without them — and they carry no advertising or cross-site tracking. Signing out clears them.

The traffic counting is deliberately cookieless, which is why this site has no consent gate to click through.

Who else can see it

The club uses a handful of services to keep the site running. Each one only handles what it needs to:

  • Vercel — hosting, and the cookieless traffic counts.
  • Supabase — the database and the sign-in system.
  • Resend — sends the emails the site generates, like a password reset or a copy of your contact message.
  • Forward Email — forwards mail sent to the club's address.

Beyond those, your information goes nowhere. The club does not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to anyone for marketing. The only other time it would leave is if the club were legally required to produce it.

Inside the club: board members with an admin account can see the roster and the pending account requests. Signed-in supporters can see the handicap leaderboards, which show names and handicaps — that is the point of a leaderboard, and it is the only place your information is visible to other members.

How long it's kept

Contact messages are kept while they are useful and cleared out periodically. Roster and score history is kept for as long as the club runs, because a handicap is only meaningful with years of rounds behind it. If you ask for your account to be removed, it is removed.

Your information is yours

Write to hello@baycountydiscgolf.com and the board will, within a reasonable time and at no cost: tell you what the club holds about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your account and contact history.

One limit worth being straight about: scores from sanctioned events are published by the PDGA, not by the club, and removing them here does not remove them there. The club can take your name off its own leaderboards on request.

Young players

Junior divisions are part of club events, and junior scores appear in PDGA results like anyone else's. This site, though, is not directed at children, and the club does not knowingly create supporter accounts for anyone under 13 without a parent or guardian arranging it. If you believe a child's information is here and shouldn't be, write to hello@baycountydiscgolf.com and it will be removed.

Changes, and how to reach us

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions, corrections and deletion requests all go to the same place: hello@baycountydiscgolf.com, or the contact form.
